Crushing Fall v0.9


For what was supposed to be just a tiny little project, became a bit more than what I planned.  I can't believe it took me over a year just for this update, and I'm so sorry for all the people asking for it and how long it took.  A lot has happened and for a majority of the past year I didn't work on it.  It was a lot of code rewrites, digging through spaghetti code, troubleshooting, bugfixing, and taking breaks and researching fixes while working on other things.

So what did this all lead to in this update?  Well...

  • Updated UI and font rendering for better readability
  • GL and Akai join Crushing Fall, with preparation to easily add more characters if need be
  • A new difficulty that doesn't include the button called "Democracy Mode"
  • High scores added for both difficulties
  • Auto-saving system for options like volume levels and the newly added high scores
  • Fixed bugs such as a loading hiccup when starting the actual game, issues with the particle system not being properly destroyed, and hopefully eliminated the ability to abuse the pause menu for insanely high scores

Android coding/compatibility is in but I need to configure multiple control layouts and is a lowered priority so I could get the previous additions done.  Might need to fix other things like shadow scaling and miscellaneous things.  If new bugs/problems occur please let me know ASAP.  I hope you all enjoy this update!

v1.0 probably won't have as many big changes, but I want to make sure everything is working and mostly bug-free before I consider it a v1.0 state.  Thank you everyone for your patience in the little mini-game project.
